If there were one thing I could say to you face-to-face right now that has made the biggest impact on my motherhood, it would be this: Be honest and humble with your children. Respect and honor are never born in lies and pride. Many moms shake their heads wondering why their children don’t come to them with mistakes or weakness. We wonder what to do when we have blundered our way through messy moments and when we don’t have the answer to all their whys. The solution: We tell them we are a work in progress.

Motherhood is a legacy of love, and our children can learn from our open and honest communication. This is us right here and now. Give me your hand and I will walk with you. This is your invitation to purposeful parenting. I want to encourage you to finish strong so your legacy will not be left unfinished.
